Three Common Add-To-Cart Button Mistakes
Add-to-Cart buttons are one of the most important aspects of your site. If done correctly, you can use them as a sales boosting tool. If done incorrectly, they can affect your sales.

I’m here to share three common mistakes that store owners make with their Add-to-Cart buttons so that you know what to steer clear of when it comes to your buttons.

1. Matchy-matchy. One common mistake is to make everything on a site match. When it comes to the Add-to-Cart button, you want it to stand out. Pick a color that matches the sites main color theme but will really ‘pop’ on the page so that there's no searching involved.

2. Cute Names. As tempting as it may be to get super creative and call your Add-to-Cart button 'Add to Sack' or ‘Add to Bag’, don’t do it. Keep it simple. Here, conformity is your friend. People visiting your site will always recognize the phrase Add-to-Cart.

3. Low buttons. Understandably, there's a lot of information about a product that is key to the shopping experience. But don’t let text overrun the prime real-estate on your item page. Keep the Add-to-Cart button high up on the page so that scrolling is't needed in order for the item to be purchased.

There you have it, three of the most common Add-to-Cart mishaps that you can now be sure to avoid. Your item page will be thanking you.
