I’m a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill from Cary, North Carolina, and really developed a love for design in college. After taking graphic design classes in our journalism school, I realized this was what I wanted to do and got involved in design internships and designing for campus publications. The summer after I graduated, I moved to New York City for a magazine internship, but couldn’t stay far from the south for too long and moved to Atlanta for a job here at EY six months later. I really enjoy the creative environment here and the opportunity to constantly learn from my fellow designers every day.
Carolann has an uncanny command of layout and typography, which is especially useful in creating eye-popping e-commerce websites. She really understands how important the design of a store is to its overall brand perception. Her warm and friendly personality makes her a great part of the EY team.

Watching way too much reality TV and reading gossip magazines. It’s a guilty pleasure.
MUSIC:
I listen to a pretty big variety of music from country to hip-hop/R&B to top 40, but I guess I would say my ideal Pandora station would be a Quick Mix of Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, Kid Cudi, Nicki Minaj, Adele, John Mayer, Taylor Swift & Katy Perry.

MOVIES/TV SHOWS:
I watch a LOT of TV and movies, but some of my favorite shows are The Bachelor/The Bachelorette and all of the Real Housewives seasons (particularly Beverly Hills). I’m also big into horror movies both old and new, and some of my all-time favorites are Halloween, The Shining, The Ring, Signs, and all of the Paranormal Activity series.
BOOKS:
I’m not a big reader, but one of the more recent books that I couldn’t put down was Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. This book might just have expedited my move to Georgia.
WEBSITES:
Of course I check my Facebook and Twitter more than probably any other website, but if I want to get inspiration for design (or pretty much anything) I usually head to Pinterest.
VACATION SPOTS:
My family’s beach house in Atlantic Beach, NC.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT WORKING HERE:
I love learning from the people around me every day and challenging myself to design better each day than I did the day before. Working with such a creative team really makes work fun and helps me grow as a designer.
